Our Vision for PSHE

At Eastrop, we develop successful learners who have the knowledge, understanding, attitudes, values and skills they need to reach their full potential, and thrive as individuals within the community, both now and in the future.

Our children take part in a wide range of activities and experiences across and beyond the curriculum, contributing fully to the life of their school and communities. In doing so, they learn to recognise their own worth, work well with others and become increasingly responsible for their own learning. They reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially, tackling many of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.

Eastrop supports and motivates the children to become resilient, make good progress and leave us as responsible, happy citizens. 

Jigsaw PSHE Curriculum Overview

We are proud to teach Jigsaw PSHE throughout the school. Jigsaw is a mindful and child centred approach to PSHE. It is an original and comprehensive scheme of learning, which integrates personal, social, health and economic education with emphasis on emotional literacy, mental health and SMSC, especially spiritual development.

Jigsaw aims to help children know and value who they really are and how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world.
