Science Day 2018

Monday 12th March - a message from our Science Leader, Miss Ayres

In recognition of British Science Week 2018 Eastrop's children took part in a fun filled day of science, promoting STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

The theme for this year’s British Science week was Exploration and Discovery. Throughout the day the children enjoyed a carousal of practical activities chosen by their teachers This included learning about: static electricity, circuits, sound, chemical reactions, forces and bubbles! I had the pleasure of dropping in on all of these activities and saw first hand just how engaged the children were. The aim of the day was to promote science in a fun and investigative way, and this was achieved with the great support of the staff and children.

A special thank you to Mr. Richard Blake for taking the time out of teaching at Warneford to start our WOW day with some jaw dropping experiments!
