Growth Mindset

At Eastrop we promote Growth Mindset; a concept first developed by Professor Carol Dweck. - the idea being that we can grow our brain's capacity to learn and solve problems; skills and ability can be grown, they are not fixed.

We help our pupils develop the skills of resilience and perseverance. We do this in a number of ways including discrete teaching supported by the use of ClassDojo resources but also through planned activities such as outdoor learning, 'over to you' time and problem solving tasks. Children at Eastrop learn the power of Yet!
